Limit

The Limit Property Class is used by all products, which are account based. It primarily controls the use of the Limit module by the Product.

Product lines

The following Product Lines use the Limit Property Class:

  • Accounts
  • Asset Finance
  • Bundle
  • Facility
  • Lending
  • Multiple Currency Account

Property Class type

The Limit Property Class (optional) uses the following Property Class types:

  • Dated
  • Enable External Financial
  • Non Tracking

Balance Prefix and Suffix

The Limit Property Class holds the below Balance Prefix for Accounts Product Line only.

  • Current
  • Overdraft Limit
  • Total
  • Utilized Limit

Add Limit Property to Existing Arrangements

The financial institutions can add the Limit property to the existing arrangements of the Accounts, Deposits, Lending, and Multi-Currency Accounts product lines using the Add New Property, New Prop Avl, and New Prop Avl Date fields in AA.PRODUCT.MANAGER.

Periodic Attribute Classes

There are no periodic Attribute Classes associated with Limit Property Class.

Actions

The Limit Property Class supports the following actions:

Action Name Description
AGE.OVERDRAFT When Limit goes overdraft, the action updates the OVERDRAFT.STATUS in AA.ACCOUNT.DETAILS.
CHANGE The change action is part of the UPDATE- LIMIT and is initiated manually allowing the user to change any of the LIMIT attributes.
CLEAR.OVERDRAFT When the account comes out of overdraft status, the action on LIMIT clears the OVERDRAFT.STATUS in AA.ACCOUNT.DETAILS
CLOSE To close the limit facility.
DELINK To delink the limit product from the business product.
INITIATE.OVERDRAFT When a customer initiates an overdraft, this action can be used to update the Primary OD Date field to indicate the customer initiated overdraft.
ISSUE.CHASER To send chaser for an over utilisation on the approved limit.
MAINTAIN To update the limit and maintain a limit record at the individual customer limit level recording this utilisation
MAINTAIN.BALANCE To maintain the balances required to calculate the utilisation of the limits.
RESUME To resume the utlisation of a suspended limit facility.
SUSPEND To temporarily suspend the further usage of the limit by the Customer.
UPDATE The update action is initiated as part of the NEW-ARRANGEMENT activity.
UPDATE.BALANCE The update action is initiated as part of the NEW-ARRANGEMENT activity and the Limit Utilisation is updated accordingly.

Accounting Events

The Limit Property does not perform any actions that generate accounting events.
