Temenos Explorer Framework
Temenos Explorer is a new 'single pane of glass' web application that hosts all user agents (UIs) for bank staff. You login only once and get access to the menus and user agents associated with your role. It has been designed to bring together a set of services based on the new microservices that are used by all the user agents that it contains, as per the latest reference architecture. The key facts are given below:
- It is based on industry standards and has no dependency on proprietary development platforms. This means that it is easy to recruit expert skills to implement and develop.
- It uses very few resources. Temenos Explorer has been designed to be CPU, network and memory efficient, which is essential for running in the SaaS world.
- It acts as a strict standard across all Temenos bank staff user agents so the look and feel, coding standards, internationalisation, and design system are consistent.
- It has a number of features built in, including common API methods, language selection and translation, layout direction, date format and numeric format management settings.
- It provides integration with Keycloak for authentication and user management. Keycloak also offers single sign-on functionality so the user does not need to authenticate for each application.
Use and Customisation
Temenos Explorer framework and user agents are template applications. The source may be provided to clients for customisation, provided that Temenos does not provide support for customised user agents. The client takes full responsibility for reconciling their changes with any upgrade received from Temenos. Temenos will endeavour to avoid making breaking changes, but cannot guarantee complete avoidance.
The Unified UX chart component uses the HighCharts library, which is proprietary software of Highsoft AS. UUX charts included in a Temenos User Agent may be used in the form originally provided by Temenos. A separate licence from Highsoft AS is required to alter any UUX charts included in a Temenos User Agent or create new charts using the UUX chart component. (Alternatively, Clients may use their own preferred charting libraries to add new charts to a Temenos User Agent.)

Does this replace Transact role-based home pages?
Temenos Explorer is the front door to the business functionality delivered by the user agents that it contains, and these user agents are designed to replace role-based home pages. Each user agent is produced by the different Temenos business streams according to a pattern allowing it to be run within Temenos Explorer. This includes Transact Explorer, the new Browser for Transact, which auto-generates screens based on Version, Enquiry, Menu and COS.
