Prerequisites

This section shows the necessary software that needs to be configured before you install eclipse plugins.

Your system must be configured with OpenJDK11. You can use the following deployment methods to use the TAFJ builder, launcher and database plugins in the Eclipse environment:

• The Eclipse link functionality. A file tafj.link is added in the <ECLIPSE_HOME>/dropins/ directory. The files available in <TAFJ_HOME>/eclipse/plugins are linked to eclipse. By following this deployment method, you can update your Eclipse configuration, whenever the TAFJ setup is run.
  Depending on the TAFJ version you are using you can generate this tafj.link automatically by running TAFJ setup and by providing your ECLIPSE_HOME path. When using an automated setup (no prompt), tafj.link will be generated under TAFJ_HOME/conf.
• You can also copy the content of <TAFJ_HOME>/eclipse and paste it inside the <ECLIPSE_HOME>/dropins/plugins directory. This deployment method is harder to maintain because you will have to update eclipse on each new TAFJ deployment.
