Introduction to ISO20022 Outward Camt Account Reporting

The IZCAMT (ISO20022 Outward Camt Account Reporting) module produces the outward Account report of movements and balances in a standard XML format (MX format) as proposed under ISO 20022 for the following message types.

  • CAMT053 – Bank to customer or bank account statement: This is the official account statement based on selected statement cycles.
  • CAMT052 – Bank to customer or bank account report: This is to report the intraday movements and balances based on selected time or upon request.
  • CAMT054 – Bank to customer or bank debit credit notification: This is an account report for debit and credit movements based on selected cycle.

The solution is micro-services based with pre-configured entry and statement events available out of the box. The entry events are streamed near real-time for account movements enriched with underlying transaction details and the statement events are streamed based on the statement cycles with account, balances and recipient details.

The account reports may be sent to one or more additional recipients through multiple channels based on the specified customer preferences. The Delivery transformation layer is responsible for the distribution of the business message to the corresponding channel and format.

The following diagram provides a high-level architecture of the CAMT Statement production under the IZ module:

With the additional license to the Event Designer (which supports the capability to customise business events), the pre-configured events provided with the IZCAMT module can be further customised and enriched with additional details from core and even locally defined tables and with additional optional tags for the CAMT message.

The following are the list of modules available as part of IZCAMT License.

  • IZ – Account Reporting Events & Service
  • ES – Event Streaming
  • Microservice Infrastructure package contains the following components.
Description Product Code Family Sub Family
Event Store MSPLES Infrastructure Platform Services
Adapter MS MSPLAD Infrastructure Platform Services
Generic Configuration MSPLGC Infrastructure Platform Services

The following are the pre-requisites for the IZCAMT module.

Configuring AC.STMT.PARAMETER for CAMT Statement

The Use Data Events field in the AC.STMT.PARAMETER needs to be configured appropriately for CAMT statement production. The options available for this field depends on whether the Bank has licensed for the IZCAMT module or IX module or both.

The following options are available based on the modules installed by the Bank:

Module installed

Options available

IZCAMT

Statement through Events and Microservice - This option enables streaming of data to the DATA.EVENTS table and the CAMT statement is produced through Microservice

IX

Statement through Services - This option enables CAMT statement generation using XML.TRANSFORMATION service

This is the default option when IX module is installed

IZCAMT and IX

Statement through Events and Microservice - This option enables streaming of data to the DATA.EVENTS table and the CAMT statement is produced through Microservice

Statement through Services - This option enables CAMT statement generation using XML.TRANSFORMATION service

Both – This option enables CAMT statement production through ‘Services’ (IX) as well as through ‘Events and Microservice’ (IZCAMT)

It is also possible to define company specific configuration for CAMT statement production using the Company ID and Co Use Data Events fields in the AC.STMT.PARAMETER application.

  • The Co Use Data Events can be configured with the appropriate option for CAMT statement production for the lead company defined in the associated the Company ID field.
  • The options available for Co Use Data Events is the same as that of Use Data Events.
  • The company specific configuration, if defined takes precedence over the default configuration in Use Data Events.
  • If a company specific configuration is not available, the configuration in Use Data Events apply.
