Introduction to Maintenance of Line Balance Details

Line information is retained in the form of Summary (with only KEY level information) or in Detail (along with account or contract level information). Line Balance field can be set as Null, Summary (or) Detail, NULL option does not retain Line information.

This is used in cases where the user needs to maintain information only on selective lines of a report. If users need to maintain information on all the lines of a report, it can be done at Report Head level.

The information is maintained in the RE.STAT.LINE.BAL and RE.STAT.LINE.MVMT files. These files can be used to generate the sub-ledger information and other useful reports based on the GL accounts.
