Introduction to Enquiries and Investigation
The Enquiries and Investigation (QA) module is used to process the inward and outward investigation messages. It handles the SWIFT MT cancelation (MTn92), queries (MTn95) and answers (MTn96) messages and also supports the payment investigation and recall flows that are part of various local clearings. Read the Clearing/RTGS section for more information on Clearing & RTGS exceptions and investigation messages. This module is also used to process the cancellation requests from the SWIFT gpi Tracker under the SWIFT gSRP (SWIFT gpi Stop & Recall service) and to respond to these requests. Read the Introduction to SWIFT Global Payments Innovation section for more information on SWIFT gpi.
Product Configuration
This topic covers the generic setup for the QA module.

The archiving requirements are defined through the standard ARCHIVE
application.
The archival of the EB.QUERIES.ANSWERS
application consists of two main processes:
- Moving live records in
EB.QUERIES.ANSWERS
to History after a pre-defined period. - Archival of the records in
EB.QUERIES.ANSWERS
that are in History.
The first process moves the records in EB.QUERIES.ANSWERS
from Live to History after a pre-defined number of days configured in the Ebqa Days to His filed in the DE.PARM
application (the Creation Date field in EB.QUERIES.ANSWERS
+ number of days defined in the Ebqa Days to His field in DE.PARM
is less or equal to the current business date).
To move the records from Live to History, the standard archival service (ARC.GENERIC) must be run, which considers the EB.QUERIES.ANSWERS
archiving requirements defined in ARCHIVE
.
