Introduction to Customer and Account Balance Reporting Model

Data Framework (DF) is a data life cycle framework that provides the Temenos Transact customers to realise the huge potential value of the transactional data generated by Temenos Transact. This is achieved by using a read-only Dimensional (DIMal) database optimised for near real-time predictive analytics and modelling tools.

DF provides the infrastructure to create and maintain a read-only database in near real time using Extract Transform and Load (ETL) process, to ensure a database which is optimised for reporting. It also provides the ability to design and execute queries against the read-only database. It leverages Temenos Transact Interaction and Integration frameworks, so that the data is available in near real-time. Read Data Framework topic for more information on the Data Framework reporting components and product configuration.

The Operational Reporting database (DB) is deployed as a series of reporting models targeting different business domain such as:

Customer and Account Balance Reporting Model

The Customer and Account Balance Reporting model (DA) is a business domain which is available from the R15 release. It is packaged under the Temenos DA module and is licensed together with the Data Framework Reporting Model (DF) module. This model is designed specifically to:

  • Query customer and account information.
  • Query all the necessary information to produce the customer account balance enquries.

This query includes the history of account balances and account movements for customer accounts. The model also includes the necessary infrastructure to update read-only DB in near real-time and the ability to define and execute enquiries in the read-only DB.

Understanding the Components of DA Module

The following are the components of DA module:

  • The DIMal Data model.
  • A set of Integration Framework events.
  • A set of transformation rules (execute transformation and load).
  • Queries and reports.
