Introduction to Translation of Delivery Messages

The DE.TRANSLATION application is used to convert codes passed in the messages into descriptive text (in various languages). It is also used to enter all the SWIFT field codes. This serves two purposes:

• To validate codes entered in DE.FORMAT.SWIFT.
• To put meaningful descriptions against the fields in SWIFT messages, if they need to be displayed for inspection.
