Introduction to Interim or Intra-day Transaction Report

The interim transaction report (MT942) should contain detailed and summary information about the entries debited or credited to the account since:

• The last statement (MT940 or 950) or balance report (MT941) or
• The last interim transaction (MT942) report (sent in the period since the last statement or balance report).

The interim report can be generated manually on an ad hoc basis or automatically through the Temenos Transact service.

MT942 is an intra-day transaction report, which is used to transmit detailed information about entries debited or credited to the account since:

• The last statement or balance report.
• The last interim transaction report (sent in the period since the last statement or balance report).

MT941 and MT942 message types are not linked and therefore the statement for these message types is generated independently, that is, the entries to be reported in the statement for the message type 942 do not depend on the last MT941 statement.
