The net movement for a given day is captured under the HIS<ACCOUNT> balance type to calculate the daily closing balances on the account. The interest movements from the historical interest bills adjust the running account and limit balances. These balances are updated under the following memo balance types with balance prefix ‘HIS’.
Historical Balance Type | Description |
---|---|
HIS<ACCOUNT> |
Holds the historical current account balance for an account. |
HIS<LIMIT>*UTL | Holds the historical utilised limit balance for an account. |
HIS<LIMIT>*CUR |
Holds the historical available limit balance for an account. |
HIS<LIMIT>*TOT | Holds the historical total limit balance for an account. |
HIS<LIMIT>*OVD | Holds the historical overdraft limit balance for an account. |
- The balance type with prefix HIS is allowed only for the ACCOUNT and LIMIT properties.
- The user has to manually create the above-mentioned historical balances in the AC.BALANCE.TYPE application, when historical changes are required during migration or takeover.

- After the Takeover arrangement is created (live contract captured in Temenos Transact), the balances in the CUR<Account> has to be captured. Instead of triggering the disbursement, the LENDING-CAPTURE.BALANCE-MAINTENANCE activity can be used to capture any balances. The system does not allow the user to capture the suspended balances.
- To bring the deposit arrangement account to credit balance (to bring it in sync with legacy system), the Capture Balance activity can be used . For this, the user has to mention the balance type and balance amount to be captured.
- The Adj Bal Type attribute can be used to specify the Balance type and New Bal Amt can be used to specify the amount.
- Along with balance type CUR<Account>, the accrued interest for the current period is also captured.

- Matured contracts having overdue payments in legacy system can be taken over into Temenos Transact using the LENDING-TAKEOVER-ARRANGEMENT activity. Similar Activity Class is available for the Deposits and Savings Product Lines as well.
- In the Takeover Arrangement activity, the Orig Contract Date attribute is mandatory. This is used to record the original value date of the contract in the legacy system.
- The Amount attribute in Term Amount Property Class has to be set to ‘zero’ for takeover arrangements.
- For live contracts, in the takeover arrangement, the Amount attribute has to have the contract outstanding amount.
