Introduction to Static Data
This feature helps clients storing UK specific customer data for the purpose of reporting and compliance. It covers the following data items:
Reporting codes:
- Bank of England Sector Code.
- Bank of England Industry Code.
- ONS Standard Industrial Classification (SIC).
Individual code:
- National Insurance Number (NINO).
The reporting codes are applicable to all customers. Individuals and legal entities while the NINO is only applicable for individuals. To ease the effort of entering the reporting code for each customer, all three codes are linked to the industry code. This allows Temenos clients to define their own mapping between the industry and the reporting codes. When a user enters an industry code during the customer creation or amendment, the appropriate values for the reporting codes are automatically determined by the system.
The National Insurance Number (NINO) is used for multiple reporting purposes and a pre-requisition for tax reporting. The system will check the validity of the NINO when details are entered in the CUSTOMER application.
Please note that this feature supports the data capture as a basis for other features and does not provide any reporting or data extract functionalities.
