Introduction to Currence eMandate
As part of Currence eMandate service, this module enables bank customers to initiate the eMandate on the merchant environment.
eMandate Incassomachtigen (Issuing)
This functionality enables the bank to use the Currence eMandate service, for issuing and amending eMandates, based on the request from the debtor (bank customer) from the merchant environment. Also, using this functionality, the banks can update the records from the black and the white lists of SEPA creditors, in the TZ.TRANSACTION.STOP.INSTRUCTION application, based on the account number information from the eMandate.
In Netherlands, the brand owner of the Dutch eMandates solution named Incassomachtigen is Currence. The eMandates is the Dutch solution for the paperless SDD (SEPA Direct Debit) mandates. This solution complies with the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) rulebook.
Temenos Transact bank applies for the so-called debtor bank license, to offer their customers the possibility to issue from a current account an eMandate. The eMandates is a licensed product from Currence.
The process of issuing a new eMandate and amendment of eMandate is initiated on the merchants (creditor, online) environment by the consumer (debtor). The licence and certificate from Currence required.
The information below will allow you to understand of the different entities or parties involved in the eMandate process:
- Currence: Currence is the brand owner of the Dutch eMandates solution called Incassomachtigen.
- Consumer: Consumer is the customer of a bank.
- Merchant: Merchant is an online website where a consumer or user can login for shopping, login to insurance companies or public institutions.
- Acquirer: Acquirer is the bank of the merchant (creditor bank).
- Middleware: Middleware is another third party between the merchant or acquirer and the issuer that sends requests or responses to and from.
- Issuer: Issuer is the bank where the consumer has a banking relationship (debtor bank).
The following application and enquiries are released as part of this functionality:
- The NLCEMD.TXN.DETAILS application allows banks to capture the details of the eMandates requests, received from creditor bank.
- The NLCEMD.TXN.DETAILS,NLCEMD.API.INITIATE.MANDATE.1.0.0 version is provided to create automatically a record in the NLCEMD.TXN.DETAILS staging application, with the details of the incoming API request.
- The NLCEMD.TXN.DETAILS,NLCEMD.API.UPDATE.MANDATE.1.0.0 version is provided with an API for updating the status of the records stored into the NLCEMD.TXN.DETAILS application. The middleware is responsible to update the status through this API based on the user or consumer action.
- The NLCEMD.API.GET.MANDATE.1.0.enquiry is provided to check if the eMandate transaction is created and lists the details of the transaction if any.
- The NLCEMD.API.GET.MANDATE.DETAILS.1.0.0 enquiry is provided to get the status of mandate creation as part of the enquiry protocol.
