Introduction to Accounting Classification

In order to define the status change based on the inactive period, Temenos Transact has the Dormancy property, where a product condition is created and attached to the saving account product. Based on this configuration the saving account will change the status.

This functionality allows the user to configure the EB.LOOKUP application in order to define the Abandoned status in the Dormancy product condition for the saving account.

The Dormancy product condition is created to specify the inactive status of the saving accounts:

• Inactive: After 6 months of no activity (182 days).
• Abandoned: Calculates 36 months of no activity or 30 months after the account became inactive (913 days).

The dormancy status will be stored in the Arr Dormancy Status field of the AA.ACCOUNT.DETAILS application.
