Introduction to DCP ATM Interface
The purpose of this user guide is to explain the current functionality available for ATM POS interface. The ATM Threshold Payment Services Inc. is the switch vendor that supports processing the ATM POS transactions. All the transactions received through ATM or POS will be in ISO 8583 standard message.
The bank requires an ATM switch to interact with Temenos Transact to perform financial and non-financial transactions at ATM or POS interface channel.
The following are the financial or non-financial transactions performed at ATM or POS:
- Pre-authorization transaction request or response (01XX series of messages).
- Financial transaction request or response (02XX series of messages).
- Issuer file update request or response (03XX series of messages).
- Reversal transaction request or response (04XX series of messages).
- Network management request or response (08XX series of messages).
- MAC validation.
- Mini statements.
The files to be submitted as part of the card access file batch update are:
- Cards: card information.
- Accounts: account information.
- Card accounts: cards and accounts relationship.
- Card override limits: card limits like ATM online, offline limit etc.
- Customer.
MACing Process
The verification of Message Authentication Code (MAC) is required on all the financial requests from the switch to Temenos Transact and generation of Message Authentication Code (MAC) is required for all financial responses from Temenos Transact to the switch, for the following transaction types:
- Pre-authorization transaction request or response (01XX series of messages).
- Financial transaction request or response (02XX series of messages).
- Reversal transaction request or response (04XX series of messages).
- Pin change advise request or response (06xx series of messages).
