CMC7 |
It is a numerical sequence printed on the bottom of the bar code checks. It is one more security item in the check that should be printed with MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) toner. The MICR is a recognition technology adopted by most banks and aims to facilitate the checks processing. |
COMPE |
Check clearing housing and other papers / Câmara de compensação de cheques e outros papeis. It is the system responsible for clearing checks and other titles. Settlement is deferred and at net multilateral value, occurring on the day after the clearing, in the case of checks of a value equal to or higher than a certain limit. Covering the entire national territory, the system is composed, for purposes of physical exchange of documents, by a national chamber, fifteen regional chambers and nine local chambers. |
