Introduction to Investment Income Information (AIIR)
Investments bodies, like banks, furnishes a regulatory report known as the Annual Investment Income Report (AIIR) at the end of the financial year.
This report contains the details of all the accounts and deposits for which an investment income was earned during the financial year. This report is used by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) to reconcile the tax returns filed by the individuals against the investment income reported by the banks.
