Introduction to Customer Infrastructure

The Customer Infrastructure module describes the core functionality for Argentinean banks, including Customer Id validation and composite screens for additional customers’ information.

In Argentina, as part of its regulation, banks have to capture additional customer information during the on-boarding process, such as:

  • The names of the spouse and theirs parents (mother, father, etc.).
  • Other legal documents such as: Identification Code (CDI), Unique Tax Identification Code (CUIT) or Unique Labor Identification Code (CUIL). The customer needs to have at least one of them.
  • The length of CDI, CUIT and CUIL is of 11 digits.
  • For CUIL and CUIT the first two positions have to be:
    • Individuals: 20, 23, 24 or 27.
    • Legal: 30, 33 or 34.

The validation of the two first positions also should be on base of gender: 20 for male and 27 for female. The digits 23 and 24 could be for male or female.

If the prefix 20 (for male) or 27 (female) is not matching with the customer’s gender registered in the CUSTOMER application, the system will display an override message.

  • The last digit of CUIT and CUIL legal documents will be a check digit through the algorithm given by the regulation.
  • If the result of the check digit is 10 the system will show the following error: This is an Invalid legal Id, the prefix is incorrect, because the CUIL or CUIT doesn’t exist. Then, the user has to change the prefix to the correct one 23 or 24, and the system will recalculate and will allow to commit the record.
  • In CDI, CUIL and CUIT for individuals, from digit 3 to digit 10, the number has to match with the DNI. If the DNI begins with a letter F or M (depending of the customer gender) the letter will be replaced with the zero number and will complete with the 7 numbers of the DNI.

On the other hand, the DNI is the only instrument of personal identification and it is mandatory. This requirement applies only to the individual customers.

DNI’ s format is regulated and validated based on the condition below:

  • DNI can start with letters F, or M, or a number between 0-9.
  • If DNI starts with F or M, then the length will be 8, and the customer’s gender will be the same than the DNI gender.
  • If DNI starts with a number, then the length will be 8.

The following information is mandatory, at least for one of the spouse and(or) parents of the customer, for a newly created customer, on the on-boarding process:

  • On the capture or when the information of the customer is updated, the user input the CDI, CUIT, CUIL identification documents.
  • Launch the format validation of DNI.
  • Enter the Risk Rating information.

This functionality allows the user to record the details of Argentinian residents and nationals that have two surnames. Also, in the address section, the province is captured, as well as the Postal Code, but the field is not mandatory.

The CUSTOMER application allows the user to input the First Name, First Surname, and Second Surname of each customer. However, the Second Surname field is not mandatory. Additionally, the fields in the address information section are mandatory. The Gender field is used to identify the DNI gender.

The RELATION application is used to maintain the types of relations required to identify the customer’s relatives.

The PARTY.RELATIONSHIP application allows for multiple relationships to be defined between customers. The PARTY.RELATIONSHIP,INPUT version is used to input the Relation mentioned in the above point.

The ESBASE.ID.PARAM application is used to store the Id validation parameters.

The PERSON.ENTITY,PROSPECT.INPUT.AR version is used to store the relative’s full name information. It does not need any authorization, and the Name and Last Name (First Surname) fields are mandatory.

The system allows users to enter the customer´s risk rating through the Risk Rating field using the CUSTOMER,INPUT.AR version. This field shows the values from the RISK.CLASS core application.

The customer search is performed by some additional field such as: Legal ID, First Name, First Surname, Second Surname, Mobile No, Telephone No, Address, Street Type, Postal code, Country, Residence, Collective. In the basic customer details information, the CNAE code (Economic Activity National Classification Code) is displayed.

According to Argentinian regulation, the CNAE (Economic Activity National classification) code is entered for individual and corporate customers during the customer on-boarding process.
