Running the T24.UPGRADE service
The T24.UPGRADE service releases data records and create files as appropriate during its execution. The T24.UPGRADE service works in conjunction with the TSM service manager.
Ensure that the TSA.WORKLOAD.PROFILE records of TSM, T24.UPGRADE service and TSA.SERVICE records are authorised (in a single company setup the record is called T24.UPGRADE while in a multibook setup the record is prefixed with the company mnemonic, for example BNK/T24.UPGRADE).
Procedure
- Login to Temenos Transact.
- Open TSM and T24.UPGRADE.
- Select Start in the Service Control field for both TSM and T24.UPGRADE.
- Open the jBase command prompt and enter START.TSM.
This step activates the service manager. Here, the service manager processes those services whose service control is marked with READY status.
- To view the output, create one or more como records.
- Use TSA.STATUS ENQUIRY to monitor the progress of the services.
- Run the conversions for the release you have upgraded.
This service is restricted to data records and files released as part of a GA release and do not perform any operation on data records released as part of ‘Updates’ (applicable for 'temp.release' with updates). The updates are not available in SPF at this point.
