What is T24.TABLE.RESTRUCTURE data record

The T24.TABLE.RESTRUCTURE data record contains restructure definitions that are used by restructure services to perform restructure operations on existing data records of applications.

T24.TABLE.RESTRUCTURE has the following features:

  • After the upgrade process, the new online transaction records that are created in production system are updated in feeder queue. These records are further processed by restructure feeder service according to the restructure definition defined in T24.TABLE.RESTRUCTURE.
  • Launches the T24.RESTRUCUTRE.FEEDER service as AUTO service if online upgrade mode is enabled.
  • If the TEMP.RELEASE package contains the REL.release.RESTRUCTURE file, then restructure definitions are released when you run the T24.INITIATE.UPGRADE service.

    ID Format: [Table Name]-[Release Number]

    Where,

    Table name – should have entry in PGM.FILE

    Release number should be of 20’4N’ or R’2N’ pattern.

  • Allows only one action per restructure definition record.
  • The Restructure operations applicable are:
    • FIELD.AMENDMENT
    • MODIFY.KEY
    • SPLIT.RECORD
    • OBSOLETE.DATA.RECORDS
    • MODIFY.FILE.LEVEL
