Run T24.PRE.RELEASE
Before getting started with the upgrade process, if you want to run any pre-release updates, then run the T24.PRE.RELEASE program.
For example, there is a new feature in the latest release that requires an action before the upgrade process. In this scenario, the T24.PRE.RELEASE program may prompt you for a user input.
- In one of the prompts, you need to specify a valid user profile to install the new services.
- You need to enter a valid User ID in the TAFJ console.
- TAFJ console traps a wrong User ID.
- You can view the output of T24.PRE.RELEASE in &SAVEDLISTS&.
- T24.PRE.RELEASE releases the following service records:
- TSM
- T24.UPGRADE
The service control of these service records are set to START so that these services can start automatically when required.
- T24.PRE.RELEASE also releases the following supplementary records for the above services:
- PGM.FILE
- BATCH
- TSA.WORKLOAD.PROFILE
- This pre-release procedure also releases the required restructure definitions of current upgrade.
It releases restructure table records in T24.TABLE.RESTRUCTURE with READY status as shown below.
It updates the list of restructure table names in RESTRUCTURE.TABLES as shown below.
