Retail Banking Overview
Temenos Digital Digital Banking app suite is a set of unified omnichannel banking apps, which address the needs of retail banking, consumer loans, business banking, new account opening and more.
The Retail Banking application is a suite of secure, internationalized, and pre-configured modules with functionality based on best practices in the banking industry - manage accounts, transfer money, find ATMs and branches, deposit checks, and more from any channel.

The application is configurable and extensible with universal integration and allows to provide a highly personalized and branded experience to customers.
The application is built on Digital Banking Platform, a purpose-built platform to enable banks to deliver seamless and differentiated experiences for their customers across banking services and channels – bridging the physical (branches, ATMs, and kiosks) with digital (online banking and mobile apps). Also part of the Digital Banking Platform is Spotlight (Customer 360), a solution to set up and maintain customer and employee-related information, and to configure the behavior of the digital banking applications associated with this information.
Architecture
The Retail Banking application is built on application reference architecture - Model View Controller (MVC).
This section explains the architecture of the Retail Banking application with Microservices.
This section explains the architecture of the Retail Banking application without Microservices.
The application architecture includes three components - Model, View and Controller. The Model component maintains application data, and business logic. The UI/UX (View) component is the user interface of the application that displays the data. The Controller (Business Logic) component handles user's requests, and render the appropriate view with Model data.
This diagram displays the list of microservices tagged feature-wise in Retail Banking application. Refer Microservices for more information on each microservice.
See Extend and Customize Retail Banking and Digital Banking Platform Architecture for more information.
